Making a Difference
Volunteering with HAFAD is a deeply rewarding experience. You'll be directly contributing to dismantling systemic racism, challenging anti-Black immigration policies, and breaking down harmful stereotypes. Through urgent advocacy, vital legal support for migrants, and community empowerment initiatives, you'll play a crucial role in healing, influencing policy change, and advancing social justice for a marginalized yet incredibly resilient population.
Your Role in Our Mission
Our volunteers are essential to our operations. Typical activities include direct community support like distributing food, clothing, and toiletries. You might also help with donation drives, offer companionship to the elderly or vulnerable, prepare and serve meals, or assist with administrative tasks and special events. We have opportunities in Direct Service, Support Services, Logistics and Operations, Event Support, and Administrative and Office Work.
