About us
Haitian Fight Against Discrimination (HAFAD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates for fair immigration policies and provides various aids to migrants and immigrants. HAFAD focuses on charitable causes, including fighting discrimination in many forms. Examples include civil rights organizations, legal aid groups, and advocacy organizations that work to end discrimination and promote equality.
HAFAD is dedicated to protecting civil rights and ensuring equal treatment under the law. We often engage in litigation, advocacy, and public education to address discrimination. HAFAD Legal Aid provides free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford legal representation.
HAFAD works to raise awareness of discrimination and advocate for policy changes. We may focus on specific types of discrimination, such as racial discrimination, religious discrimination, or discrimination based on sexual orientation or disability.
With charitable purposes, HAFAD often focuses on eliminating prejudice and discrimination. This includes efforts to end racial discrimination, promote religious freedom, and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities.
Relief of the Poor, Distressed, and Underprivileged:
Our charitable organization uses the arts to raise awareness about discrimination and promote social justice. This can include supporting artists who challenge discriminatory attitudes or organizing events that foster dialogue and understanding.
Defending Human and Civil Rights
HAFAD directly addresses discrimination by working to defend human and civil rights. This may involve advocating for legal protections, providing legal representation to individuals facing discrimination, or organizing protests and demonstrations.
